You are more likely to give emergency care for a loved one than for someone you don’t know.

If you are prepared for unforeseen emergencies, you can help ensure that care begins as soon as possible for yourself, your family and your fellow citizens.  If you are trained in first aid and CPR, you can give help that can save a life in the first few minutes of an emergency.  First aid and CPR can be the difference between life and death.  Often, it makes the difference between complete recovery and permanent disability.  By knowing what to do and acting on that knowledge, you can make a difference.
